Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to prefabricated microparticles for performing a specific detection of one or several analytes in a sample, and to precursors of such microparticles, herein also sometimes referred to as "precursor-microparticles". In particular, the present invention relates to libraries of such prefabricated microparticles and libraries of such precursor-microparticles. Furthermore, the present invention relates to kits for making such libraries and to kits of using such libraries for detecting an analyte of interest in a sample. Moreover, the present invention relates to methods of detecting and/or quantitating an analyte of interest in an aqueous sample, preferably using such kits.
