Zusammenfassung:	A cosmetic composition for treating acne includes at least one acne treatment active, for example, salicylic acid or a derivative thereof, which may present in an amount that is greater than 1%, by weight, based on the weight of the sulfate-free cleansing composition, and an aqueous carrier that includes at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of sarcosinates, betaines, and combinations thereof, at least one solubilizer comprising a polyethylene glycol compound, and water. When the sulfate-free cleansing composition is applied to a keratinous tissue it demonstrates deposition and retention of the beta hydroxy acid on the keratinous tissue after rinsing with water.
