Zusammenfassung:	A sealing assembly includes: a first machine element and a second machine element, which delimit a gap; and a sealing element arranged in the gap, the sealing element sealingly laying against the second machine element under an elastic bias, the sealing element having a first section and a second section, the first section coming into contact with a medium to be sealed off. The sealing element includes at least one sensor, the at least one sensor detecting a contact pressure exerted by the sealing element. The at least one sensor is associated with the second section.
