In particular, drug delivery devices are described that allow identification of the drug to be injected, calculation or determination of an acceptable range of injection times for the identified drug, determination of a tailored injection time within the acceptable range of injection times, and setting of a delivery speed of a drive such that the drug is expelled over the tailored injection time.
