Zusammenfassung:	A power window device includes a control unit configured to: monitor independently a first potential at one ends of a first switch circuit including a window closing switch and a second switch circuit including a window opening switch and a second potential at one end of a submersion detection sensor, and determine that submersion has occurred when the second potential is in a submersion potential range. During a normal time, the control unit outputs a window closing command signal when the first potential is a potential at a time of the window closing switch being operated, and outputs a window opening command signal when the first potential is a potential at a time of the window opening switch being operated. At a time of submersion, the control unit does not output the window closing command signal, and outputs the window opening command signal.
