Zusammenfassung:	The present disclosure is directed to system and a method for disinfection of surfaces and/or room air, wherein at least one UV source is arranged on a medical device and/or in a medical examination and/or treatment room in such a way that it is suitable for disinfection irradiation of at least one surface and/or at least one flow of air. Advantageously, the at least one UV source is attached to a component able to be moved mechanically for the purpose of medical examination or treatment. The disclosure also relates to a control method for the system, which includes the automatic execution of hygiene programs.
