This rubber composition enables excellent performances regarding flame retardancy and less smoking properties to be exhibited without impairing vibration isolation properties and physical rubber properties. In the flame-retardant vibration isolation rubber composition, ingredient (A) is a diene-based rubber, ingredient (B) is a halogen-compound flame retardant, ingredient (C) is a metal molybdate compound, and ingredient (D) is a metal hydroxide.
