Zusammenfassung:	This invention relates to methods of treatment for arthritis using SPL-108 polypeptide. In particular, this invention relates to such methods of treatment by the administration of an SPL-108 polypeptide (also known as A6 peptide, a CD44 modulating peptide) or a variant thereof alone or in combination with a standard-of-care treatment for arthritis to alleviate and/or prevent symptoms of arthritis and/or to avoid side effects commonly associated with treating arthritis. Such methods of the present invention are used to treat inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, reactive arthritis, and/or psoriatic arthritis.
