Zusammenfassung:A safe exit warning apparatus and method for an occupant may include a first sensor that detects position of the occupant in the vehicle, a second sensor that detects an approaching object from the vehicle's blind spot, a warning device that warns the occupant about collision with the object, and a controller that determines the occupant's intent to get out of the vehicle by monitoring the position of the occupant in the vehicle when the vehicle stops and that controls the warning device to warn the occupant about the collision with the approaching object.
