Zusammenfassung:	Systems and methods for controlling a signal amplifier unit configured with an electronic communication device are disclosed. The signal bar level on the electronic communication device is determined, and the signal amplifier unit is turned on based on the determined signal bar level. The signal level of the signal amplifier unit may be measured, and attenuation may be added based on the measured signal level. The measured signal level may be compared to a target level.
