Zusammenfassung:	A method is provided for adjusting a temperature of a screed plate of a paving screed of a road paver, wherein the paving screed comprises a heating element for heating the screed plate. The method may include measuring temperature of the screed plate over a time interval using a temperature sensor, and adjusting a target temperature of the heating element, depending on a time profile of the temperature of the screed plate, using a control unit of the road paver.
