Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to color changing candles and the use of encapsulated thermochromic pigments to achieve the desired metachromatic effect. The invention may include a stable dispersion of a thermochromic pigment that uses an encapsulated thermochromic pigment; an amphiphilic solvent; a dispersant; and an oil. The present invention may include a method for making a candle containing thermochromic pigment and fragrance that may include pre-weighing ingredients needed to make batch; adding melted wax into vessel; adding thermochromic colorant to vessel and mixing for 10-15 minutes; adding dye and fragrance and blend till homogeneous; pouring mixture into candle jars equipped with wicks; and allowing candles to cure at room temperature overnight.
