Zusammenfassung:	A light-emitting device, having a laser light device that is designed to emit a multiplicity of laser light beams. Ellipticities of beam cross-sections of the laser light beams differ at least partly from one another. The light-emitting device includes a beamforming device that is introduced into the beam path of at least one of the laser light beams and that is designed to adapt the ellipticities of the beam cross-sections of the laser light beams to one another, and a beam-combining device that is designed to combine the laser light beams to form an overall light beam, after the adapting of the ellipticities of the beam cross-sections by the beamforming device.
