Zusammenfassung:Methods, systems and apparatuses may provide for technology that generates a backlight compensation signal based on a user input, an operating system input and an adjustment output, wherein the backlight compensation signal includes a plurality of transitions in a time domain, and wherein the plurality of transitions occur at a frequency that exceeds a frequency threshold. The technology may also automatically apply the backlight compensation signal to a low pass filter to obtain a smoothened compensation signal and adjust a brightness level of the display panel based on the smoothened compensation signal and a modified pixel buffer.
