In one example, a method comprises: detecting a digital x-ray detector in a charging area of an x-ray system, the charging area including a first power source; pairing the digital x-ray detector to the x-ray system via a wireless connection with the x-ray system; and wirelessly charging the digital x-ray detector via the first power source.
