The product comprises a color dose formulation, an instruction and optionally a sunscreen. The color dose formulation has high concentration of pigments and is suitable for being mixed with a sunscreen to prepare a customized color shade sunscreen product. Also is a method of preparing a customized color shade sunscreen product to match a skin tone of a subject. Such method comprises mixing a selected color dose formulation with a sunscreen. The color dose formulations may be selected from six color shade compositions that offer color shades suitable for all skin tones. The customized color shade sunscreen product may provide a sensorial benefit such as dry touch, good spreadability, no white residues, oil control and UV protection and visible light.
