Zusammenfassung:A vehicle and a method are capable of efficient autonomous parking by forming an occupancy map and a probability map using a camera and an ultrasonic sensor, and a method of controlling the vehicle. The vehicle includes: a camera disposed in a vehicle to have a plurality of channels and configured to obtain an image from around the vehicle; a sensing device including an ultrasonic sensor and configured to obtain distance information between an object and the vehicle; and a controller. The controller is configured to match the distance information with the image from around the vehicle, to divide the image from around the vehicle into a plurality of areas, to determine a risk of each of the plurality of areas by matching the object included in the plurality of areas to a predetermined class, and to form a probability map and an occupancy map corresponding to the image from around the vehicle based on the risk.
