Zusammenfassung:	A friction transmission belt has a power transmission face made of a rubber composition. The rubber composition contains: a rubber component containing, as a main component, an EPDM with a diene content of 6.0% by mass or more; and short fibers dispersed in the rubber component so as to be oriented in a belt width direction, and having an aspect ratio of 100 or more. The rubber composition has a tensile yield stress of 15.0 MPa or more at 25° C. in the belt width direction.
