Zusammenfassung:	Provided is a method for producing an aromatic alkoxy silane (4) containing a hexafluoropropanol group (-C(CF3)2OH, HFIP group) from an inexpensive starting material at a high reaction conversion rate and high selectivity. This production method includes: a first step for obtaining an HFIP group-containing aromatic halosilane (2) by reacting an aromatic halosilane (1) with hexafluoroacetone in the presence of a Lewis acid; and a second step for obtaining an HFIP group-containing aromatic alkoxysilane (4) by reacting the HFIP group-containing aromatic halosilane (2) with an alcohol.
