Zusammenfassung:	The teachings generally provide for a toolbox system comprising a toolbox that includes an upper surface, a lower surface; and one or more sliding assemblies connected to the toolbox at a location proximate to or on the lower surface so that when the one or more sliding assemblies are connected to a bed of a vehicle the lower surface of the toolbox is suspended above a horizontal plane of a top surface of bed walls of the bed. The sliding assembly of the toolbox is adapted to permit movement of the tool box along the horizontal plane so that the tool box is movable between a fore position and an aft position of the bed of the vehicle.
