In particular, the invention, including its various embodiments, relates to certain functional graphenic materials having an attached adhesive moiety that provides adhesive properties or functionality to the resulting compound and that can be used as an adhesive or sealant in a variety of applications, such as in-situ repair of a leak or defect in a tube carrying a fluid, such as a condenser tube in a power plant.
