For this purpose, operating parameters are first of all recorded in pre-existing technical installations and stored centrally. If the intention is to plan a new technical installation, then the specifications for the new installation may be compared with the previously recorded operating parameters in order to efficiently generate an optimum configuration of the new technical installation.
