Zusammenfassung:	A charging arrangement for an electric vehicle having a traction battery is disclosed having a power supply station connected to a power network and a power supply cable with charging plug. In order to perform a charging process, the charging plug is connected to the electric vehicle in which a voltage converter is arranged in the charging plug to convert the supply voltage UV into a charging voltage UL, which is lower relative thereto, and a method for operating the charging arrangement.
