Zusammenfassung: | A modular framework for a grill and oven includes surfaces for food preparation, storage bins accessible from above, and cabinet storage accessible laterally. Modular elements of the framework may incorporate receiving sites with locating and restraining features and other attachments complementary to fixtures found on commercially available barbeque grills, such as standardized mounting flanges and gas plumbing. An oven chamber beneath the food preparation surfaces or the grill receiving site may include a rotisserie assembly. Since 36 inches above the ground or a floor is a prevalent standard height for food preparation surfaces, a cooking chamber accessed laterally and situated below such a food preparation surface would require a user to bend, stoop, or kneel to access vessels or a rotisserie spit operating in the chamber. The invention includes a rotisserie frame with an extendable spit so that foods on the spit can be accessed with less bending or stooping. |
