Zusammenfassung:	An information transmission method and apparatus, the method including determining, by a first communications apparatus, an area in which a terminal device is located, where the area includes overlapping coverage area between the first communications apparatus and at least one second communications apparatus, and, non-overlapping coverage area between the first communications apparatus and the at least one second communications apparatus, and the first communications apparatus is adjacent to the at least one second communications apparatus, and sending, by the first communications apparatus, information to the terminal device through a first channel if the terminal device is located in the overlapping coverage area, and sending, by the first communications apparatus, information to the terminal device through a second channel if the terminal device is located in the non-overlapping coverage areas.
