Zusammenfassung:	A vehicle interior component is disclosed. The component may comprise a base and a door/cover configured to move from a latched position to cover a bin to an open position to uncover the bin through an unlatched position; and a blocking mechanism configured to actuate a keeper/blocker to move in response to a force from a retracted position to an extended position to prevent the door/cover from moving toward the open position. The mechanism may comprise a blocker/keeper to move from a default/retracted position to a blocking/deployed position to prevent the door/cover from moving to the open position (e.g. in response to the external force). The mechanism may comprise an arm configured to rotate in response to the external force against a retaining spring to engage the blocker/keeper. The component may comprise a console; the cover may comprise a door.
