This takes place according to a selected cross section of the article to be formed. The at least partially melted material is added on layer by layer to a carrier (500) or to previous layers bonded to the carrier (500). A system that is suitable for carrying out the method according to the invention has a substrate (100), a control unit (600), an application unit (700) for applying the particles to the substrate (100), an energy exposure unit (700) and a contacting unit (800).
