Zusammenfassung:	A handheld vacuum sealer device is provided for drawing a vacuum to remove air from a bag or container to prolong freshness of food stored in the bag or container. The sealer device includes an activation button to initiate drawing the vacuum that is activated at the same time a user pushes downwardly on the sealer device to form a seal between the sealer device and the bag or container. A charging cradle for recharging the sealer device is also provided that charges the sealer device regardless of the orientation of the sealer device when the sealer device is placed within the charging cradle.
