Zusammenfassung:Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for displaying an image on the surface of a jewel using a previously distorted image. The apparatus for displaying an image on a surface of a jewel using a previously distorted image includes a distorted image generation unit for generating a distorted image corresponding to an original image that is desired to be displayed on a table facet of a jewel in consideration of characteristics of the jewel and characteristics of the original image, and a display unit for outputting visible light corresponding to the distorted image to the jewel so that the original image is displayed on the table facet of the jewel.
