Zusammenfassung: | An electrochemical gas sensor for detecting a target gas includes a housing comprising at least one gas inlet, an electrolyte within the housing, at least one working electrode in ionic contact with the electrolyte, at least one counter electrode in ionic contact with the electrolyte and at least one secondary electrode in ionic contact with the electrolyte. The secondary electrode is configured so that reaction of the target gas entering the housing via the at least one gas inlet at the at least one secondary electrode is less than reaction of the target gas at the least one working electrode. The electrochemical gas sensor further includes electronic circuitry in operative connection with the at least one working electrode, the at least one counter electrode and the at least one secondary electrode. The electronic circuitry is configured to measure an output from the at least one working electrode, and to measure an output from the at least one secondary electrode. A correction factor is determined for correcting the output from the at least one working electrode on the basis of the output from the at least one working electrode and the output from the at least one secondary electrode during an assessment in which the electrochemical sensor is exposed to the target gas for a determined period of time. |
