Zusammenfassung:	Mosquito attractant compositions including lactic acid, a gelling agent, a humectant other than lactic acid, and water are disclosed. The gelling agent includes a gellan gum or agar and has a pH from about 2.5 to about 5. The mosquito attractant compositions attract mosquitoes when exposed to air for a period of at least 7 days. Methods of using and forming the mosquito attractant compositions as well as insect attractant devices are also disclosed.
