Zusammenfassung:	A service request interface is provided in association with a laboratory instrument. The interface may be displayed on an interactive display unit, such as a touchscreen monitor associated with the laboratory instrument. When a user initiates a service request by interacting with the interface, relevant system software files containing instrument location, software version, configuration, customer contact, and event codes corresponding to instrument performance and/or status are encrypted and transmitted to a remote ticketing interface for creation of a service ticket and associated ID. Other instrument data files may be transmitted, in association with the service ticket ID, to a remote data services back end. Remote support personnel have access to the data associated with the service ticket ID in the remote ticketing interface and the remote data services back end. Communications between the remote service personnel and the service request or take place via a remote collaboration services back end.
