To provide a manufacturing method of a binding resin providing a toner excellent in all of low temperature fixability, roller detachability, and crushability, a binding resin, a toner for electrostatic charge imaging containing the binding resin.SOLUTION: [1] There is provided a manufacturing method of a binding resin including following process 1 and process 2, in which the binding resin contains 40% or more of a component with molecular weight of 10,000 or more in a molecular weight distribution measured by a gel permeation chromatography, and a peak top of the molecular weight distribution in a range of 7,500 to 10,000. Process 1: a process for mixing aromatic alcohol containing an alkylene oxide addition article of bisphenol A and fumaric acid. Process 2: a process for adding further carboxylic acid to the mixture obtained in the process 1 and mixing them till a softening point of the binding resin in a system becomes to be in a prescribed range.
