Zusammenfassung:	Provided is an actuator for a link mechanism for an internal combustion engine, which is capable of enhancing the durability of a wave gear type speed reducer or a bearing portion. The actuator for a link mechanism for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention includes: a housing including a bearing portion configured to support a control shaft so that the control shaft is rotatable; and the wave gear type speed reducer configured to reduce a rotation speed of an output shaft connected to a drive motor, and to transmit the reduced rotation speed to the control shaft. A restricting mechanism is provided to one of the control shaft and the housing, and is configured to restrict movement of the control shaft toward the wave gear type speed reducer side in an axial direction by being brought into contact with another of the control shaft and the housing.
