After cutting off one folded side to leave the other folded side, the text unit is sandwiched between a front cover and a back cover and is covered with a spine. The spine is pressed against the remaining the other folded side of the text unit together with the front cover and the back cover by the medium of a mesh cloth impregnated with an adhesive so as to cover and wrap the whole a back of the stack of the front cover, the text unit and the back cover. The notebook can be used in a completely spread state (180-degree horizontal state) and conveniently, and retains high security and high functionality. A process for producing the notebook.
