Zusammenfassung:The present technology relates to an information processing apparatus and method and an information processing system that make it possible to perform more appropriate information provision. Processing relating to settlement of a commercial transaction is performed and log information relating to the settlement is generated, and the generated log information relating to the settlement is supplied to a server, which performs processing relating to provision of the log information relating to the settlement, without the intervention of a commercial transaction processing unit that performs processing relating to the commercial transaction. Further, processing relating to settlement of a commercial transaction is performed by a given method corresponding to a settlement service selected from a plurality of settlement services that can be utilized for the settlement of the commercial transaction and log information relating to the settlement corresponding to the settlement service is generated. The present disclosure can be applied, for example, to an information processing apparatus, a communication apparatus, an electronic apparatus, a computer, a program, a storage medium, a system and so forth.
