Zusammenfassung:	The disclosure relates to a transmission node and method for multicasting a plurality of original data packets to a plurality of receivers in a cell of a cellular communications system. The method comprises the step of multicasting a set of original data packets and a single network coded data packet associated with the set of original data packets to the plurality of receivers in the cell. The set of original data packets consists of a number of original data packets of the plurality of original data packets and the number of original data packets in the set of original data packets is dependent on a multicast data packet loss probability for transmitting data packets to one or more of the plurality of receivers in the cell. The single network coded data packet is a linear combination of two or more original data packets in the set of original data packets.
