The controller is configured to obtain a configuration for one or more features of a data storage device, monitor operations of the data storage device on a memory, determine, as a function of the monitored operations, an adjustment to the configuration to accelerate the performance of one or more of the operations, and apply the determined adjustment to the configuration.
