Zusammenfassung:	A control device for a vehicle is provided, which vehicle includes a driving source, a driven machine driven by the driving source, and an automatic transmission having a torque converter provided downstream of the driving source in a power transmission path and having a lockup clutch, and an engaging element provided downstream of the torque converter in the power transmission path. The device includes a control unit adapted to engage the engaging element in a state where the lockup clutch is engaged if a brake pedal is stepped on during neutral running control in which the automatic transmission is brought into a power shut-off state during running of the vehicle.
