The vehicle includes a battery configured to be charged and discharged while connected to a charger; and a controller configured to charge the battery by distributing charging current for the battery with the foremost priority if the charging current for the battery is smaller than consumption current, and distribute the consumption current after a state of charge (SoC) of the battery reaches a target charging level.
