The overturn preventing device includes a plurality of dampers mounted between a top surface and a piece of furniture installed on an installation surface and a ceiling. The dampers each have first and second ends and all of the first ends are coupled to the article-side base. The second ends of the dampers are coupled to one or a plurality of ceiling-side bases.
