Zusammenfassung:	A syringe packaging system including a shell for enclosing a pre-filled syringe is disclosed. The shell includes a first portion having a proximal end and a distal end having a disk-shaped bottom portion; and a second portion having a proximal end and a distal end. With the first portion engaged with the second portion to form the shell, the proximal end of the first portion and the proximal end of the second portion together define a syringe flange having a top wall that defines a shell proximal aperture, a bottom wall, and a sidewall.
