Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides improved stable liposomal formulations and method of preparation thereof. The liposomal formulations include liposomes containing a phosphatidylcholine lipid, a sterol, a PEG-lipid, and a taxane, wherein the taxane is docetaxel or a derivative thereof. The liposomal formulations have improved stability and extended shelf-life. The present invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising a liposomal formulation for the treatment of cancer.
