Zusammenfassung:A pouch type package for fluid contents, comprising two opposite flexible side walls forming a top corner portion which is provided with an opening initiation along which a tab is to be separated for opening of the package. The opening initiation comprises a first tear line provided in a first of the two opposite flexible side walls and a second tear line provided in a second of the two opposite flexible side walls. The first and second tear lines extend in an at least partly non-overlapping manner from a common starting point such that a wall section of an inner surface of the first side wall is exposed after separation of the tab. The invention also relates to a method of adaptation of a pouch type package for enabling insertion of a straw.
