Zusammenfassung: | A compact, low profile, Yagi-based MIMO antenna for small form factor devices including mobile phones and other compact wireless devices. The antenna has a dielectric substrate and an electrically conductive ground plane that acts as a reflector. A driven element and director are on the substrate. In one embodiment, the driven element is an arcuate semi-loop connected to meandered legs and the director element is arcuate, both printed on the substrate. In another embodiment, the driven element is a semi-loop and the director is rectangular, both etched from the ground plane. In both embodiments, a transmission line conveys RF power to the antenna to excite the driven element. Two of the antennas can be mounted side-by-side on a substrate to form a dual-antenna system, and two of the antenna systems can be placed in a tablet or the like. |
