A projection device (101) is provided with a distance acquisition unit (201) configured to acquire the distance between an object and the projection device, a content acquisition unit (203) configured to acquire content information containing a video to be projected and the projection distance of the video, a projection video determination unit (205) configured to refer to the content information acquired by the content acquisition unit in accordance with the distance acquired by the distance acquisition unit and determine the video to be projected, and a projection processing unit (206) configured to project the video determined by the video determination unit on the object.
