Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a device and to a method for the quantitative detection of disorders in the field of vision of an eye of a test subject, in particular in the case of eye diseases which are associated with macular edema, wherein a square grid is displayed on a display device whose grid lines which are perceived by the test subject as curved can be modified by the subject in such a way that the subject can view an orthogonal reticule again. Such lines perceived as curved can be modified by input signals which modify the boundary curves defined by the boundary functions in such a way that the originally displayed linear reticule is perceived again, wherein the geometric deviations caused by transformation of the regions of the square reticule perceived as curved from the originally present squares are determined quantitatively as the sum of the absolute values of the horizontal deviations and as the sum of the absolute values of the vertical deviations.
