Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a compound of dihydrophaseic acid 3′-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. It was found that the D3G isolated from the lycium root bark extract induces the activity of osteoblast differentiation while promoting the proliferation of pre-osteoblast, and promotes the bone remodeling by promoting the differentiation of both osteoblast and osteoclast when mixing and culturing pre-osteoblast which is the precursor of osteoblast, and monocyte which is the precursor of osteoclast. Therefore, the D3G of the present invention is expected to be useful as a pharmacological agent or functional food effective for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis which is a disease caused by the abnormal balance of bone remodeling,
