Further, the method includes assigning the notification to a user defined group based on a plurality of parameters. Further, the method includes displaying, in the notification panel of the electronic device, a graphical element corresponding to the user defined group. Further, the method includes detecting a first user input, the first user input including a user selection of the graphical element, detecting a second user input, and applying an action to the notification based on the first user input and the second user input.
