Zusammenfassung:	A lubrication system for a gearbox of a transmission system includes an outlet line that is configured to allow an egress of oil from the gearbox. The lubrication system also includes a scavenging pump that is fluidly coupled with the outlet line and configured to draw oil from the gearbox via the outlet line. The lubrication system further includes a pressure sensor that is disposed in the outlet line and located upstream of the scavenging pump. The pressure sensor is configured to measure a pressure of fluid entering the scavenging pump. The lubrication system further includes a controller that is communicably coupled to the pressure sensor and the scavenging pump. The controller is configured to vary a displacement of fluid from the scavenging pump based on a comparison of the pressure of fluid entering the scavenging pump as measured by the pressure sensor with at least one pre-determined threshold value.
